摘要: Deterministic precipitation forecasts from the 12- and 4-km versions of Unified Model (UM) were compared using an intensity-scale technique. Averaging raw model output is always recommended to minimise grid-scale errors. The retained detail in averaged produces improved prediction larger accumulations. © Crown Copyright 2006.
