摘要: Study objectives: To determine whether music significantly reduces the pain and anxiety associated with laceration repair in emergency department. Participants setting: Adult patients presenting to ED at an urban teaching hospital for repair. Exclusion criteria included less than 18 years old, having received analgesics, suspected alcohol or substance intoxication, whom was complicated by treatment of a more serious medical condition. Design interventions: This randomized, controlled trial. After giving informed consent, were randomly assigned receive standard without (control) music.
