摘要: The "Hawthorne effect" has been an enduring legacy of the celebrated studies workplace behavior conducted in 1920s and 1930s at Western Electric's Hawthorne Plant. This article examines empirical evidence for existence effects using original data from Relay Assembly Tes Room. Allowing a variety other factors, author assesses whether experimental changes, variously defined, had common effect that could be regarded as pure result experimentation. main conclusion is these show slender or no effect.
