摘要: Background/Objective. Obesity has become a global epidemic due to an increase in the number of obese individuals worldwide. There is little research field obesity genetics Pakistan. The aim current study was analyze association common variants Fat Mass and associated (FTO) gene with Pakistan, find out effect selected SNPs on anthropometric biochemical traits, observe whether these act synergistically. Methods. Samples from 631 subjects were taken after informed consent used for serum parameters genetic analysis. Lipid profile determined, tetra-ARMS PCR genotyping, allele/genotype frequencies genescore calculated. Results. All FTO obesity, some measures had higher minor allele than those reported Asian populations previously. risk each single nucleotide polymorphism resulted BMI quantitative manner. Conclusion. Common forms are combined net many presented same or different genes. more alleles present, severity resulting BMI.
