摘要: Abstract As part of a review substance abuse deaths in Dutchess County, New York, the County Medical Examiner's Office identified 3 cases angiocentric systemic foreign-body granulomatosis discovered at autopsy. Our investigation disclosed that all patients surreptitiously injected crushed oral prescription medication. Of patients, 2 obtained intravenous access through central venous lines, other patient was found to have herself intramuscularly. Autopsy demonstrated lung abnormalities due diffuse deposits foreign material within and around vessels, associated with granulomatous reaction. We also distribution this deposited beyond lungs brain, heart, kidneys, spleen. present these along literature embolization previously documented parenteral medications.
