摘要: This paper uses data envelopment analysis (DEA) to investigate the possibilities for improving technical, economic and environmental performance of Dutch pig farms relative currently applied technologies available but not yet technologies. First, efficiency is computed relating observed current best practice frontier. frontier from a sample farms, using DEA based on linear programming. Second, potential technological change as due addition virtual (based that are in yet) dataset. It found mean technical rather high Overall increases slightly when new introduced. Environmental importantly applying In particular, ammonia emissions can be reduced largely by utilising up-to-date housing techniques.
