摘要: BACKGROUND The objectives of this study were to identify factors associated with treatment differences, characterize changes in patterns over time, and compare survival across types patients who received for localized laryngeal cancer. METHODS Using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results database, we conducted a retrospective cohort analysis treated from 1995 2009 cancer. Four groups defined: (1) radiation only, (2) local surgery (3) radiation, (4) open or without radiation. Variations rates between these evaluated according demographic factors, differences time calculated. Associations mortality assessed using Kaplan-Meier methods. Cox proportional hazards regression models used adjust potential confounding covariates. RESULTS In total, 10,429 cancer identified. Most (57%) only; 25% 9% Race, age, registry treatment. Receipt single-modality increased receipt combined-modality decreased period. Better was observed white race, younger surgery. Survival type within 3 years diagnosis persisted beyond 5 after diagnosis. CONCLUSIONS Although became more adherent guidelines identified that warrant further investigation into decision-making Cancer 2014;120:1810–1817. © 2014 American Society.
