摘要: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1997 (IDEA) require that all states develop and implement, by July 2000, alternate assessment methods for those students disabilities who cannot be included within regular state local district educational accountability measures. focus this article is how two have addressed a set seven essential questions in developing their assessments; why they chose the formats, standards, implementation systems did; intended unintended consequences resulted thus far from decisions. To further guide efforts others, recommendations are provided practitioners to consider assessments meet requirements IDEA '97.
