摘要: Organic anion transporting polypeptides (OATPs) mediate the uptake of a broad range compounds into cells. Substrates for members OATP family include bile salts, hormones, and steroid conjugates as well drugs like HMG-CoA-reductase inhibitors (statins), cardiac glycosides, anticancer agents methotrexate, antibiotics rifampicin. OATPs are expressed in variety different tissues, including intestine, liver, kidney, brain, suggesting that they play critical role drug absorption, distribution, excretion. The identification functional characterisation naturally occurring variations genes encoding human (SLCO) is focus transporter research. As result their substrate spectrum wide tissue altered transport characteristics or protein localisation can contribute significantly to interindividual effects. analysis consequences genetic proteins may, therefore, better understanding differences effects individualise treatment regimens with substrates proteins. In this review, we summarise current knowledge on analysed by vitro vivo studies.
