摘要: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a lethal malignant disease associated with poor prognosis, despite recent medical advances. It of great importance to understand the initial events and cells origin pancreatic cancer prevent development progression PDAC. There are three distinct precursor lesions that develop into PDAC: intraepithelial neoplasms (PanINs), intraductal papillary mucinous (IPMNs), cystic (MCNs). Studies on genetically engineered mouse models have revealed initiation these largely depend genetic alterations. These originate from different populations in pancreas. PanIN seems be result transdifferentiation acinar cells, whereas IPMNs most likely arise progenitor niche epithelium. carcinogenesis dependent various events, including gene alterations, environmental insults, cell types. However, further studies needed fully processes cancer.
