摘要: Contour-parallel tool paths for machining milling features are formed by linking the offsets. Determination of links between offsets and sequence in which should be traversed is a major problem. Results efforts to link from academic researchers developers commercial computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems have shortcomings include fact that strategies (a) not based on clear geometric principles, (b) optimal, (c) do consider technological factors such as amount slotting, overmilling, mode cutting, (d) either gouge-free or use retractions avoid gouging. To overcome these shortcomings, this paper presents algorithm employs segments Voronoi diagram links. The factors, hitherto ignored previous research considered their optimality ensured employing guidelines were mostly developed through observations generated general test bed. Multiple solutions obtained after pruning out unfeasible can evaluated users using geometrical (total path length) (amount etc.) considerations combination criteria. implementation tested generating two two-and-a-half-dimensional (21/2D) milled features. When compared with those some CAM systems, they shorter 5 31 per cent.
