摘要: Abstract Overexpression of the p53 gene product has been observed in a high percentage malignant melanomas. To evaluate role this protein development melanoma, we examined expression benign, premalignant, and melanocytic lesions. Using antibodies DO-7 1801, which recognize both wild-type most mutant forms protein, analyzed by immunohistochemical staining 26 benign nevi, 34 dysplastic nevi from patients at low risk for 22 nevl 61 primary melanomas (including 15 that arose nevi), 10 metastatic Expression was not any or nevi. Of only 3 (5%) demonstrated nuclear staining, whereas 70% showed positive reaction p53. These data suggest overexpression is late event progression melanoma consequently indicate cannot be used as marker to identify subsequent melanoma.
