摘要: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous short non-coding RNA molecules that regulate gene expression by repressing translation or cleaving transcripts in a sequence-specific manner. Bioinformatic analyses predict miRNAs more than 30% of protein coding genes. To date, 1921 human mature have been registered miRBase release 18.0 (http://microrna.sanger.ac.uk/). A growing body evidence suggests aberrantly expressed many carcinomas and they play key roles the initiation, development metastasis cancers, including head neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). In this review, eight genome-wide miRNA profiles were used to selected (up-regulated down-regulated miRNAs) HNSCC clinical specimens our hypopharyngeal maxillary sinus carcinoma. We discuss recent findings on aberrant their contribution oncogenesis.
