摘要: We evaluated differences related to body shape of males and females Ceroglossus chilensis using morphometric geometry. This species is widely distributed in Chile, associated with native forests exotic plantations. In December 2004 January 2005 we collected 53 63 from two plantations Pinus radiata located the Coast Range Andes foothills Region del Bio-Bio. Individuals were photographed, 17 landmarks lateral ventral views digitized. used a multivariate analysis variance sex locality as factors investigate form among sexes. Sexual dimorphism was present both populations; had wider proepisternum, while narrower proepisternum abdominal sternites. Differences populations also found; abdomen more elongated thicker than foothills. These raise question whether sexual may be modulated by natural selection.
