摘要: Abstract The recent identification of receptors sensitive to cold stimuli increased the significance using mice study allodynia, one important features neuropathic pain. However, commonly used techniques (simple plate and acetone technique) may be inappropriate allodynia in because problems interpretation. We have developed a new method for assessing aversion non-noxious stimulus. It consists calculating time that spend on during their explorative behavior versus thermoneutral one. three different models pain: chronic constriction injury sciatic nerve (CCI), partial ligation (PSL) saphenous (CCS) with respective sham groups naive animals assess double comparison drop technique. All operated displayed both methods. response spent were correlated ( r  = −0.93) we also showed CCI more cold. Pharmacological validation this technique induced was alleviated by gabapentin. In conclusion, provides new, relevant mice. advantages drawbacks other are discussed.
