摘要: Spontaneous elongation from nanorod to nanowire in the presence of an amine is reported for nanocrystals cadmium sulfide and silver (cation exchanged CdS). Elongation occurs instantaneously where final aspect ratio a controllable multiple original length. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis reveals influential factors on attachment process are concentration amine, duration temperature reaction. The elongated nanorods further characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence (PL), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis) photoelectron (XPS). A mechanism oriented evidenced doubling length asymmetrically gold tipped CdS with corresponding absence symmetrically nanorods.
