摘要: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence and progression pulmonary hypertension over a 5-year follow-up period in 28 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who were originally enrolled an echocardiographic 1985 1986. Twenty healthy volunteers without cardiac or disease participated as normal controls. Each patient control underwent complete Doppler study. recordings tricuspid insufficiency, saline contrast enhancement when necessary, used calculate artery systolic pressure according modified Bernoulli equation. measurement output performed at rest for each subject, resistance calculated by dividing output. These results compared original studies detect serial changes resistance; also group increased from 14% first 43% follow-up. A significant increase mean detected SLE during period: 23.4 vs 27.5 mm Hg (p < 0.005). In addition, significantly higher controls 0.005).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
