摘要: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the fourth most frequent type of malignancy in world. Metastasis accounts for >90% mortalities patients with CRC. The metastasis-associated colon 1 (MACC1) gene has been identified as a novel biomarker prediction metastasis and disease prognosis, particularly early-stage disease. Previous clinical studies demonstrated that MACC1 expression polymorphisms CRC tissues were indicators metastasis, circulating transcripts plasma also significantly associated survival patients. present review describes use beyond its utility clinic. By elucidating upstream downstream signal pathways MACC1, well-known mechanisms MACC1-mediated cell proliferation, invasion, migration epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) are summarized, well potential signaling pathways. Furthermore, underlying by which overexpression causes cisplatin resistance emphasized.
