A command shaping approach to enhance the dynamic performance and longevity of contact switches

摘要: The performance and longevity of contact type electromechanical switches relays are traditionally major concerns in many electrical power communication applications. impact between a switch its corresponding substrate due to applied voltage or current may reduce the fatigue life such devices. Thus conflict exists response bandwidth reliability device. In this article, using energy conservation force equilibrium, novel command shaping scheme for generating desired input sequence level while preserving dynamic is proposed developed. Through simulation experimental characterization, it demonstrated that can effectively settling time without sacrificing actuators. robustness shaper explored from standpoint uncertainties system parameters as modal damping, stiffness, air gaps, showing handle parameter variation up certain extent. For with significant variations containing moderate modified design an on-line tuning allow further optimization.
