摘要: Background: The measurement of vitamin D is now commonplace for preventing osteoporosis and restoring an appropriate concentration that would be effective to counteract the occurrence other human disorders. aim this study was establish whether blood sampling seasonality may influence total in a general population Italian unselected outpatients. M ethods: We performed retrospective search laboratory information system University Hospital Parma (Italy, temperate climate), identify values serum (25-hydroxyvitamin D) measured outpatients aged 18 years older, who were referred routine health checkup during entire year 2014. Results: consisted 1 ,1 5 0 (median age 62 years; 8592 women 2558 men). consistently lower samples collected Winter than three seasons. frequency subjects with deficiency approximately double drawn Spring Summer Autumn. In multi-variate analysis, found independently associated sex season testing, but not patients. C o nclu sio n s: According these findings, should regarded as important preanalytical factor assessment. It also reasonable suggest amount synthesized summer high enough maintain levels > 50 nmol/L throughout remaining part year.
