摘要: The present study mainly focused on the impact of etymology instruction vocabulary learning Iranian EFL upper-intermediate learners; secondly, it aimed to find out whether there is any significant difference between performance male and female learners in through strategy or not. To accomplish study, 60 studying English as their major within age range 20 28 both males females at SabzevarTarbiatMoallem University SabzevarPayam-e-Noor University, Iran participated this experiment.Their language proficiency was determined by TOEFL test. In order determine homogeneity knowledge, a test given them. Then they were randomly assigned one control group experimental group, each including thirty students. Only received treatment. followed its normal educational program. After completing treatment sessions posttest administered effect instruction. statistical significance means two sets scores, t-test employed. results revealed that students receiving outperformed those group. second hypothesis another t- used analyze data, which indicated groupdiffered performance.
