摘要: Patterns of rodent species abundance and diversity were examined over a 5 months period in two areas Kenyan relict tropical rainforest. The are subjected to different administrations which lead various levels anthropogenic disturbance: one can be considered relatively disturbed undisturbed. Anthropogenic disturbance causes reduction woody stem density between 0 1.5 m reduced understory tree canopy cover. Rodent was estimated using the program CAPTURE compared with number individuals actually captured. Density three methods, these utilised boundary strip estimate effective size area trapped. resulted being high both areas, so population might have been at peak. Species richness higher forest, while evenness undisturbed forest. We suggest that forest increase due sporadical entrance by non-forest species, decrease lower strata vegetation occurs hence this factor affect equitability. Bibliographic data supports hypothesis as ground cover found correlated.
