Hydrogenated amorphous silicon ultraviolet sensor for deoxyribonucleic acid analysis

摘要: In this letter, we show the results achieved using a hydrogenated amorphous silicon photosensor for “label-free” deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) analysis based on measurements of absorbance in ultraviolet range. The optimization sensor structure allowed us to bring detection limit 30-mer DNA sample down 1nM×cm, limited by experimental setup. Taking advantage hypochromic effect, also demonstrated single- and double-stranded molecules melting experiment. From noise characterization our setup, estimated minimum required detect occurrence hybridization/separation process be below 10−3.
