摘要: Glioma cells with stem cell-like properties represent a minor subfraction of the total tumor cell population. These are highly chemo- and radioresistent held responsible for inevitable recurrence malignant gliomas. This review summarizes current strategies targeting putative glioma cells. Target definition approaches comprise extrapolation adaptation therapies from general oncology, target identification by correlative molecular genetic analyses, dedicated discovery research. Targeting include inhibition tumor-specific signaling pathways, enhancement differentiation, radiosensitization, indirect niche, oncolytic virotherapy, adhesion molecule blockade.
