Shear-Induced Ordering of Ferroelectric Crystals in Spin-Coated Thin Poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene) Films

摘要: We present a robust route for fabricating thin ferroelectric poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene) (PVDF-TrFE) film with both molecular and microstructural crystal ordering over the area of 1 × cm2. The method is based on static mechanical shearing under appropriate thermal conditions. apparatus designed particularly ultrathin PVDF-TrFE films thickness 200 nm or less allowed us to fabricate ca. 25 thick crystalline lamellae globally ordered perpendicular shear direction. Grazing incident X-ray diffraction polarized near edge absorption fine structure further revealed orientation crystals c axes preferentially oriented parallel direction surface normal, respectively. at 135 °C gave rise best directly correlated approximately 50% enhanced polarization observed in metal/sheared ...
