In vitro plant regeneration from cotyledon explants of Swainsona salsula Taubert

摘要: An effective protocol has been developed for plant regeneration from cotyledon explants of Swainsona salsula Taubert (Saline swainsona), a medicinal and agronomic shrub. Adventitious shoots were obtained 83.2% 3-day seedlings cultured on Murashige Skoog (MS) medium containing 2.0 mg l−1 thidiazuron (TDZ), with an average 9.3 per explant. Individual elongated rooted half strength MS supplemented indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), 59.3% success. Regenerated plants well roots successfully transferred to soil, without detectable variants. Histological observation revealed that via organogenesis, little callus.
