摘要: Periprosthetic femoral fractures are becoming increasingly common and a major complication of total hip arthroplasty hemiarthroplasty. The treatment periprosthetic fracture after revision using long stem is more complex challenging. purpose this study was to identify the clinical radiographical features stem. We report retrospective review outcomes 11 Eleven female patients with mean age 79.2 years (70 91) were treated for Vancouver type B1 between 1998 2013. numbers previous surgeries 3.1 (2 5). average follow-up 58.9 months (8 180). found several important that might influence outcome stem: 1) all cases classified as B1. 2) 6 (55%) had transverse around tip 3) 7 (64%) history ipsilateral femur. open reduction internal fixation in 9 hips, which reinforced bone grafts. Two other revision. One revised because breakage, associated poor quality, received plate. All except one achieved primary union. This failed case defect at site, surgery cementless allografts successful. These findings suggest most have been successfully fixation. However, very quality be considered B3 fracture, choice.
