摘要: Lung cancer is the leading cause of death in Taiwanese women since 1982. High lung mortality ratio male:female Taiwan (2:1) was observed, although less than 10% female patients are smokers. Until now, etiological factor remains unknown. We hypothesize that high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) 16/18 may be associated with development based on high prevalence p53 negative immunostainings tumors compared male tumors. In this study, 141 and 60 noncancer control subjects were enrolled to examine whether HPV DNA existed tumor normal tissues by nested PCR situ hybridization (ISH), respectively. The concordant detection 16 18 between ISH method 73 85.5%, Our data showed 77 (54.6%) had (26.7%; P = 0.0005) subjects. addition, uniformly located cells, but not adjacent nontumor cells. When study stratified gender, age, smoking status, nonsmoking who older years old significantly infection. odds infection much higher at 10.12 (95% confidence interval, 3.88-26.38) 1.98 0.84-4.76) patients. This result strongly suggests explain a certain extent why nonsmokers rate.
