摘要: The aim of this double-blind cross-over study was to investigate whether side effects carbamazepine (CBZ) could be reduced by using a slow-release CBZ preparation. Twenty-one adult patients with epilepsy who had related the use took part in trial. Patients were randomized receive either conventional (C) or (SR) preparation for 3 months and then switched over other another months. daily dose dosing frequency kept same as before study. quality severity assessed monthly scored questionnaire containing questions about systemic toxicity (STRS) neurotoxicity (NTRS). Twenty evaluated. mean total values NTRS visits on each drug significantly less during SR than C treatment (P < 0.05). All items lower therapy, differences significant occurr0nce headache, dizziness disturbances vision, speech coordination. score STRS also SR, but difference no significant. Eleven preferred 6 estimated periods equal. In conclusion, can render fewer preparations.
