摘要: Abstract Purpose: To investigate the toxicity of combretastatin A-4 disodium phosphate (CA-4) and its vascular effects in subcutaneous (s.c.) BT 4 An rat glioma, additionally, to determine tumor response CA-4 combined with hyperthermia. Methods Materials: For assessment drug toxicity, rats were given 50, 75, or 100 mg/kg followed by daily registration weight side effects. Interstitial blood flow was determined laser Doppler flowmetry injected 50 CA-4. In study we administered alone hyperthermia (waterbath 44°C for 60 min) 0 3 h later. Results: We found that CA-4, at a well-tolerated dose mg/kg, induced considerable time-dependent decrease flow. Tumor reduced 47–55% during first 110 min after injecting thereafter remained decreased until measurements terminated. Administering before yielded best increased growth time significantly compared simultaneous administration ( p = 0.03). Interestingly, did not influence growth. Conclusion: induces gradual reduction which can be exploited sensitize
