K-ras Status Does Not Predict Successful Hepatic Resection of Colorectal Cancer Metastasis

摘要: Objective: To establish whether specific K- ras alterations are predictive of less aggressive tumor behavior and subsequently those patients who most likely to benefit from resection hepatic metastases colorectal carcinoma. Design: Evaluation long-term survivors for carcinoma (median survival, 85 months). Results: DNA, extracted 26 paraffin-embedded 19 patients, was analyzed using single-strand conformation polymorphism direct sequence analysis codons 12 13 the gene. Seven were found harbor mutations. A similar frequency spectrum mutational events detected in 14 with short-term survival following pathologic diagnosis metastasis.
