摘要: A new family of transposons, FARE, has been identified in Arabidopsis. The structure these elements is typical foldback a distinct subset mobile DNA found both plants and animals. ends FARE are long, conserved inverted repeat sequences typically 550 bp length. These repeats modular organization predicted to confer extensive secondary the elements. present high copy number, heterogeneous size, can be divided into two subgroups. FARE1's average 1.1 kb length composed entirely long repeats. FARE2's larger, up 16.7 length, contain large internal region addition ends. encode three proteins, one which bears homology known transposase. FARE1.1 was isolated as an insertion polymorphism between ecotypes Columbia Nossen. This, coupled with presence 9-bp target-site duplications, strongly suggests that have transposed recently. termini other transposons imperfect palindromic sequences, unique further distinguishes from DNAs.
