摘要: Oxysterols are 27-carbon oxidation products of cholesterol metabolism. possess several biological actions, including the promotion cell death. Here, we examined ability oxysterols to induce short-term death in cancerous (human breast cancer and mouse skin melanoma cells) non-cancerous endothelial cells lung fibroblasts) lines. We determined viability, Ki67 expression, cycle regulation, apoptosis after 24-h incubations with oxysterols. found that different had effects on studied parameters. Moreover, depended type oxysterol concentration. Three cytotoxic (7-ketocholesterol, cholestane-3β-5α-6β-triol, 5α-cholestane-3β,6β-diol) inhibited S phase stimulated G0/G1 or G2/M phases. These promoted apoptosis, Annexin V propidium iodide assays. results showed have depending line. The findings suggest a potential pharmacological utility
