摘要: This article investigates plasma treatment of vertically aligned multiwall carbon nanotube (CNT) films in different environments for modification surface chemistry and morphology. The surfaces the CNTs were functionalized with a pulsed dc treatment, where power was directly applied to film low pressure argon/nitrogen argon/hydrogen backgrounds. Optical emission spectroscopy used detect atomic molecular excitations gas mixtures as well pure gases vicinity CNT films. In situ x-ray photoelectron performed on treated samples examine after treatment. analysis nitrogen hydrogen indicated formation both CN CH bonds, respectively. Correlations characteristics morphology are discussed.
