Ankyloglossia with Deviation of the Epiglottis and Larynx

摘要: We observed ankyloglossia to be usually accompanied by displacement of the epiglottis and larynx. Infants with this disease developed dyspnea skin hair abnormalities. In addition, they had other symptoms, such as a dark forehead, frowning expression, color around lips, scanty eyebrows, swelling palpebrae, harsh respiratory sounds, hard crying, snoring, frequent yawning. spite these abnormalities, been considered healthy their pediatricians. Arterial oxygen percent saturation (SaO2) was measured while infants were asleep, suckling, awake. The results revealed that SaO2 unstable slightly low. symptoms signs very similar those in victims sudden infant death syndrome before death. Correction deviation larynx resulted great improvement well stabilization increase SaO2.
