摘要: Objective: To evaluate cost per delivery using two different initial approaches to the treatment of postvasectomy infertility. Design: Model expected costs and results in United States 1994. Setting: Men with infertility, evaluated treated at centers experience vasectomy reversal or sperm retrieval ICSI. Patient(s): a female partner ≤ 39 years age. Intervention(s): Initial microsurgical was compared retrieved epididymal testicular sperm. Actual charges, complication rates, pregnancy rates obtained were used for analysis. Main Outcome Measure(s): Cost delivery, rates. Result(s): an approach only $25,475. (95% confidence interval $19,609 $31,339), rate 47%. However, after ICSI $72,521. $63,357 $81,685), average $73,146 percutaneous $71,896 surgical retrieval. The one cycle 33%. Conclusion(s): most cost-effective infertility is reversal. This also has highest chance resulting child single intervention.
