摘要: Local blood-to-tissue transfer constants (K) in metastatic Walker 256 (WL-256) brain tumors produced by the intracarotid artery injection of WL-256 tumor cells rats were measured using 14C-α-aminoisobutyric acid and quantitative autoradiography. Small compact diffuse infiltrative intraparenchymal had values K similar to that contralateral nontumorous tissue. Medium large tumors, meningeal metastases intrave ntricular higher (5 30 fold) than tissue indicating size location choroidal influence permeability capillaries. The local intratumor varied considerably these this variability correlated only a few specific histopathologic features tumors. value abruptly decreased at tumor-brain interface when was sharply defined, have small effect on adjacent Low blood-to-tumor transport water soluble drugs will significantly affect drug concentrations tumor-drug exposure.
