Aberrant FHIT Transcripts in Merkel Cell Carcinoma

摘要: Merkel cell carcinoma is a rare neuroendocrine of the skin which shares several features with small lung carcinoma. In previous study, we reported high frequency abnormalities FHIT gene, located at 3p14.2, in tumors. To determine role gene malignancies, 14 cases were analyzed by reverse transcription mRNA followed PCR amplification and sequencing products. Eight tumors (57%) displayed abnormal products that lacked three or more exons gene. The pattern transcripts was similar to observed tumors, suggesting might be common genetic marker these two types
