摘要: Voltage-modulated scanning force microscopy has been employed to investigate the dynamics of ferroelectric domains as a function time and temperature in triglycine sulfate (TGS) single crystals. Branching domain structure nucleation fine patterns by internal fields thermal origin have directly observed on submicron scale. Domain coarsening after quenching TGS samples from paraelectric phase into one studied, revealing nonlinear dependence characteristic correlation length supporting validity dynamical scaling law conservation total surface charge. Substantial differences evolution detected during cooling or heating treatment phase. contrast is shown monitor transition through its dependence, reflecting competition between electrostatic piezoelectric effects.
