摘要: Taurine is conditionally essential in human pregnancy as fetal tissues do not express the biosynthetic enzyme. demand by both fetus and placenta must be met sufficient uptake from maternal blood into syncytiotrophoblast (STB), transport epithelium of placenta, via taurine transporter (TauT). STB TauT activity reduced complication pre-eclampsia (PE). This condition associated with growth restriction (FGR) placental pathology comprising abnormal renewal, mitochondrial dysfunction, elevated oxidative stress. In non-placental cells intracellular cytoprotective regulates proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis; key events renewal. Here we test hypothesis that deficiency impairs renewal increases susceptibility to stress compromising function.
