Organizational commitment and intention to leave among nurses: The mediating role of moral obligation

摘要: In today’s fast-paced economic competition, committed and loyal employees are important for the profit-oriented organizations to gain sustain their competitiveness.Even non-profit-oriented like hospitals universities, these will lead better quality service improved organizational performance.Thus, it is vital employees’ commitment because once commitments decrease, would be difficult retain employees. This study investigated relationship between intention leave among nurses in Malaysian public hospitals, determined role of moral obligation as a mediator on leave.The focused permanent working in public hospitals Peninsular Malaysia.The results supported that was significantly negatively related macro also showed relationships were crucial looked into so management employers could have ample understanding guidelines if they draft retention strategies.Even though many studies had been conducted the intention leave, most them developed countries this believed enhance literature gap since has an emphasis Malaysian context.
