摘要: TPA (12-O-tetradecanoyl-phorbol-13-acetate) reversibly inhibits the binding of 125I-labelled epidermal growth factor (EGF) to treated mouse and human cells, but does not affect various other ligands their membrane receptors. It alters affinity receptors for EGF without changing total number available per cell. Those phorbol esters which stimulate cell in culture have tumour-promoting activity vivo alter EGF-receptor affinity, while biologically inactive derivatives fail change its
