摘要: This study aimed to investigate both short-term and long-term effects of exposure original English subtitles in the context learning as a second language Norwegian upper secondary/high schools (Baltova, 1999). The was initially inspired by Mitterer McQueen (2009) who showed that improved speech perception, more generally, processing less frequent varieties. We ran series tests with two age groups, 16 year old (N = 65) 17 (N=49) students. To establish baseline, we tested all participants’ proficiency on grammar vocabulary. In addition participants filled out questionnaire their linguistic background focus extra-curricular activities where might be involved (e.g., watching videos/TV, playing computer games, but also time spent reading/writing English).
