Phosphorylation and Synthesis of Histones in Regenerating Rat Liver

摘要: Abstract The incorporation in vivo of 32P-phosphate, 3H-amino acids and 5-3H-orotic acid into the nuclear components rat liver has been studied at various times after partial hepatectomy. Basic proteins other dissociable were eluted from nuclei trapped polyacrylamide gel using a series gradients increasing ionic strength decreasing pH. No evidence was found that newly synthesized ribonucleic is covalently bound to histones. Several histones but not phosphorylated. One preformed histone component be phosphorylated about 15 hours Further characterization this phosphohistone conventional procedure isolate showed it slightly lysine-rich IIb1 single site (its N-terminal seryl residue). This phosphorylation may specific control event occurring one time during regeneration.
