摘要: Inorganic mass spectrometry techniques may offer great potential for the characterisation at nanoscale, because they provide unique elemental information of value a better understanding processes occurring nanometre-length dimensions. Two main groups are reviewed: those allowing direct solid analysis with spatial resolution capabilities, i.e. lateral (imaging) and/or in-depth profile, and liquids containing colloids. In this context, present capabilities widespread such as laser ablation coupled inductively plasma (ICP-MS), glow discharge secondary ion/neutral described compared through selected examples from various scientific fields. On other hand, approaches (i.e. size, composition, presence impurities, etc.) colloidal solutions nanoparticles by well-established ICP-MS technique described. latter case, derived on-line coupling separation field-flow fractionation liquid chromatography also assessed. Finally, appealing trends using bioassays biomolecules labelled delineated.
