摘要: Abstract Background Despite the minimally invasive nature of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), procedure is associated with several complications. We aimed to analyze individual impact bleeding events, hemoglobin (Hb) drop, and red blood cell (RBC) transfusions on prognosis evaluate temporal trends in RBC since initiation TAVI program our centre onward. Methods Consecutive patients (n = 597) undergoing transfemoral were prospectively enrolled. Periprocedural Hb levels, transfusions, major/life-threatening events documented analyzed. Results In entire cohort, mean level decreased after (11.8 ± 1.4 9.5 1.3 g/dL; P = 0.004). Among an drop ≥ 3 g/dL, had no significant survival (HR, 1.5; 95% CI, 0.7-2.9; 0.2); however, who received a significantly higher mortality 4.1; 2.2-7.7; Conclusions An frequently observed TAVI. are strongly increased long-term these patients, regardless degree or major bleeding.
