摘要: Introduction The European population is rapidly ageing. In order to handle substantial future challenges in the healthcare system, we need shift focus from treatment towards health promotion. PreventIT project has adapted Lifestyle-integrated Exercise (LiFE) programme and developed an intervention for healthy young older adults at risk of accelerated functional decline. targets balance, muscle strength physical activity, delivered either via a smartphone application (enhanced LiFE, eLiFE) or by use paper manuals (adapted aLiFE). Methods analysis study multicentre, three-armed feasibility randomised controlled trial, comparing eLiFE aLiFE against control group that receives international guidelines activity. It performed three cities Norway, Germany, Netherlands. primary objective assess usability interventions, changes daily life function as measured Late-Life Function Disability Instrument scale behaviour complexity metric. Participants are assessed baseline, after 6 months period 1 year randomisation. Men women between 61 70 years age randomly drawn regional registries respondents screened decline recruit randomise 180 participants (60 per arm). Ethics dissemination Ethical approval was received all trial sites. Baseline results intended be published late 2018, with final findings expected early 2019. Subgroup further in-depth analyses will subsequently published. Trial registration number NCT03065088; Pre-results.
