摘要: Leymus chinensis is an important perennial forage grass natively distributed in the Eurasian Steppe. However, little known about molecular mechanism of its adaptation to extreme environmental conditions. Based on L. cold-treated sequence database, a highly expressed S-adenosylmethionine decarboxylase gene (LcSAMDC1) was isolated from chinensis. Gene structure analysis showed that LcSAMDC1 has two introns and three exons as well non-overlapping ORFs mRNA sequence. One hour cold exposure caused significant up-regulation LcSAMDC1, while abscisic acid (ABA), salt, osmotic stresses slightly induced expression. Analysis expression different tissues ubiquitously, with higher levels young spike rhizome. Overexpression main ORF transgenic Arabidopsis promoted increased tolerance salt stress relative wild type Arabidopsis. The concentration polyamines, proline, chlorophyll significantly Arabidopsis, spermine polyamines more under than stress. These results suggest response could influence production involved Moreover, be used improve abiotic resistance crops.
