摘要: Objective To evaluate the potential economic benefits of keeping a meningitis A vaccine at or near ambient temperature for up to 4 days during mass vaccination campaign. Methods During 10-day campaign against in three regions Chad 2011, costs associated with storage and transport traditional cold chain system were evaluated. A mathematical model was used estimate savings that could have been achieved if had stored – “controlled temperature” peripheral levels supply system. Findings The cost logistics 0.24 United States dollars (US$) per person vaccinated. In modelled scenario controlled chain, however, these dropped by 50% estimated be only US$ 0.12 Conclusion implementation most assuming no loss potency, efficacy safety result major allow coverage extended low-resource settings.
