摘要: BackgroundCarcinosarcoma is a rare type of malignant tumor that can occur at various organs, such as the digestive tract, lung, and mammary glands (1-4). Carcinosarcoma pancreas an extremely complicated neoplasm, with characteristics high invasiveness rapid progression, early metastasis, poor prognosis (4).Case PresentationWe reported 75-year-old male patient who was admitted chief complaint intermittent pain in right upper abdomen for more than one month. Computed tomography scans revealed space-occupying lesion located tail considering pancreatic carcinoma. The underwent surgical resection tumor. Macroscopic observations showed mass approximately 6 cm × 5 grayish-white cut surface. Histological analysis large amount abnormal differentiated epithelial cells spindle cells. immunohistochemistry results demonstrated biphasic neoplasm both mesenchymal components. Then, diagnosed carcinosarcoma pancreas. Although considered to have outcome previously reported, free recurrence 15 months after surgery, longer tumor-free survival recorded this cancer, maybe because received gemcitabine adjuvant chemotherapy surgery. current literature shows longest postoperative time 26 (5).ConclusionsCarcinosarcoma Surgery main way treatment, delay development some extent.
